A little bit -- I enhanced the sharpness of the image, and then increased the brightness and/or saturation levels as the pictures needed, just to make the pictures more vibrant. Nothing too exciting, though. :)

ahhh that's what i do too! i love this kinda style.. and adjusting brightness/contrast and saturation levels is easier than selective coloring.. that takes up too much time. lol

That and I use iPhoto to make my icons, which does not give you many options when it comes to editing. :P I totally agree.

how do u use iphoto? i hv iphoto here but i never do editting with that before..

Select a pic, and click on edit. I usually automatically click on "enhance" first, as it cleans the picture up. And then I use the "effects" button -- switching between boost and fade color. Most of these are a ratio of 3 boost color to 1 fade color. Sometimes I'll hit the "Adjust" button and fool with the levels in detail, but usually not. Then crop in a square, and save it as a 100px file!
